”Alice taught us all how to enjoy music, embrace it and love it. Singing became like therapy, at least for me. Alice was able to get the best out of both of my kids voices. My daughter went on to be a vocal major in college and my son is still pursuing it now in high school.“ ~ Paola, parent and chorister
Studio Policies
Weekly lessons
In order to see real progress and growth it is best for lessons to occur on a weekly basis. Alice develops a schedule based on student preferences and teacher availability.
Cancellation: If you will not be able to make your regular lesson time it is critical to cancel AT LEAST 24 hours in advance. Without 24 hours notice, you will be charged for your lesson slot. Alice does not do make-up lessons, although she is willing to reschedule lessons as her schedule allows.
Zoom lessons
Alice is available to do Zoom lessons, in addition to in-person lessons. This is often a great way to do a lesson if a student is too sick to come to the studio, but would still like to have there lesson on schedule.

In order to effectively do a zoom lesson, you must have a good internet connection. It is also helpful to use a computer as the main interface and a phone or other devise to play tracks.
Payment
I accept payment via PayPal, Venmo or CASH. For the first three months of study, students should pay on a weekly basis. After three months, I am willing to switch to monthly billing via PayPal.
Materials and Music
Students are required to purchase instructional materials to use at home and during their lessons. Music books that fit each student’s voice, age, and skill level will be recommended. Most of the books can be purchased on amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, or halfpricebooks.com. Individual songs can be purchased at www.musicnotes.com.

Note: Alice is not a pianist. During lessons we will use accompaniment tracks.
Recitals
There is an additional recital fee to cover the costs of a collaborative pianist and a recital venue. Recitals will be scheduled at least once a year.
